CHAPEL BENEVOLENCE

The Chapel Benevolence is comprised of member volunteers from the Catholic and Protestant congregations. The committee provides grants to faith based non-profit organizations within Martin County that provide housing, education and health care to low-income, struggling residents. Since 1988 through Operation Outreach (now Charity Week) and The Mariner Sands Chapel Benevolence Committee we have granted over $3,200,000 to meet the needs of those who need us the most in our surrounding communities.

These local charities are vetted by committee members to ensure the funds are going to worthy, responsible causes. Many of our residents volunteer in these organizations.

How we choose our causes

The mission of Mariner Sands Charity Week is to provide grants to well run Martin County non profits that serve those in need of food, shelter and clothing. We also provide dental care, early childhood education and shelter services for victims of abuse.  We focus on smaller non profits who see measurable benefits from our moderate grants.
